about

These songs were originally recorded around the same time as the album "An Octopus, but Like, an Octopus with Massive Wings, and Junk," in the exact same setting (at home) and on the exact same equipment (Tascam Porta02 four-track and a dual cassette deck), by the exact same personnel (Tyler Trudeau playing everything). All five were initially released on the original CD-R version of "An Octopus...," distributed in early 2010 by hand and for free among about 25 people in the New Haven, CT area. When Tweefort/February Records picked up the album and re-released it digitally a few months later, the label trimmed off these five songs for the sake of aesthetic cohesion. Those songs spent about four years sitting on a hard drive until Trudeau realized he was sitting next to a scanner, drew a sandwich, scanned it and uploaded the .wav files to Bandcamp.
